Hi! I'm so glad you're here. I'm Vanessa Joy, a New York-based wedding and portrait photographer.

I've loved telling stories nearly all my life. I was gifted my first camera when I was six years old---it was a pink point-and-shoot and everything I ever dreamed of. I took it with me everywhere, always wanting to capture life's greatest moments. Not much has changed since, with the exception of a major update to my equipment ;)

I aim for my photos to contain the same feelings of bliss I had when I was six years old. Getting your picture taken should not be a stressful process-- it should be exciting! You should feel beautiful and empowered. I'm your ultimate hype-woman, third wheel, and supporter, and I want you to end your time in front of the camera feeling celebrated, confident, and comfortable. I approach wedding and shceduled sessions the same way: laid back, joyful, and eager to tell your story in a way that feels authentic to you.
